Теория: Выделение полного квадрата

Задание

Дополните квадратное уравнение

\(\displaystyle x^2+x-2=0\)

до полного квадрата и запишите получившееся равносильное квадратное уравнение:

\(\displaystyle \big(\)
x+\frac{1}{2}
\(\displaystyle \big)^2=\)
\frac{9}{4}
Решение

Правило

Квадрат суммы

Для любых \(\displaystyle a,\, b\) верно

\(\displaystyle (a+b)^2=a^2+2ab+b^2\)

Для того чтобы дополнить выражение \(\displaystyle x^2+x-2\) до полного квадрата, распишем \(\displaystyle x \) так, чтобы удвоенное произведение было записано явно:

\(\displaystyle x^2+\color{red}{2}\cdot \frac{ x}{ \color{red}{2} }-2=x^2+2\cdot x \cdot \frac{1}{2}-2{\small .}\)

Сравним формулу и выражение \(\displaystyle x^2+2\cdot x \cdot \frac{1}{2}{\small : } \)

\(\displaystyle \begin{aligned} &\color{blue}{a}^2+\color{red}{2}\cdot \color{blue}{a} \cdot \color{green}{b}+\color{green}{b}^2\\&\color{blue}{x}^2+ \color{red}{2}\cdot \color{blue}{x}\cdot \color{green}{\frac{1}{2}}\,+\,?\end{aligned}\)

Получаем, что \(\displaystyle a=x, \, b=\frac{1}{2}{\small , }\) и надо добавить к нижнему выражению \(\displaystyle \color{green}{b}^2=\left(\color{green}{\frac{1}{2}}\right)^2=\color{green}{\frac{1}{4}}{\small ,}\) чтобы получить квадрат суммы.

Значит, прибавим и вычтем в выражении \(\displaystyle x^2+x \) число \(\displaystyle \frac{1}{4} \) так, чтобы в выражении

\(\displaystyle x^2+x-2\)

получить полный квадрат:

\(\displaystyle \left(x^2+x+\color{green}{\frac{1}{4}}\right)-\color{green}{ \frac{1}{4}}-2=0{\small .}\)

Распишем квадрат суммы слева явно:

\(\displaystyle \left(x^2+2\cdot x \cdot \frac{1}{2}+\color{green}{\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)^2}\right)-\frac{9}{4}=0{\small . }\)

Следовательно,

\(\displaystyle \left(x+\frac{1}{2}\right)^2-\frac{9}{4}=0{\small ,}\)

\(\displaystyle \left(x+\frac{1}{2}\right)^2=\frac{9}{4}{\small .}\)

Ответ: \(\displaystyle \left(x+\frac{1}{2}\right)^2=\frac{9}{4}{\small .}\)
